Council conducts pest survey programs. This is in accordance with Section 241 of the Land Protection Act 2002.

The Act allows council officers to enter properties throughout the Sunshine Coast region. Officers can also monitor and enforce compliance under the Act as follows:

  • survey properties which may harbour declared pests
  • map the distribution of declared pests.

Program details

Particular emphasis will be placed on inspecting the localities of:

  • Peachester
  • Conondale
  • Ilkley
  • Bli Bli
  • Verrierdale
  • Eerwah Vale
  • Kiamba

The program will run from 1 October 2015 until 30 December 2015.

Officers doing these inspections will make every attempt to contact residents before entering their property.

Program details are listed in the minutes [PDF 10041KB] of council's Ordinary Meeting of 18 June 2015.
