Pest Survey Program

Pest Survey Program

Council will conduct a pest survey program from 1 July to 30 September 2013 in accordance with Section 241 of the Land Protection Act 2002.

The Act allows council officers to enter properties throughout the Sunshine Coast region to monitor and enforce compliance with the requirements of the Land Protection Act 2002 as follows:

  • survey properties which may harbour declared pests
  • monitor and enforce compliance with the requirements of the Act
  • map the distribution of declared pests.

Program details

Particular emphasis will be placed on inspecting the localities of Witta, Yandina, Yandina Creek, Ninderry, Coolum, Mt Coolum and Maroochy River.

The program will start on 1 July 2013 and continue until 30 September 2013.

Officers conducting these inspections will make every attempt to contact residents prior to entering their property.
