Healthy People Award

Outstanding contribution by an individual or group that has made a significant contribution towards the sporting, recreational, or health and wellbeing achievements of the region.

Nominations are now CLOSED. Any nominations received from 5pm, Tuesday 30 April 2024 will be ineligible.

Nomination criteria 

Outstanding achievement by an individual or group that has made a significant contribution towards the sporting, recreational, or health and wellbeing of the region. Nominations require 300-500 words addressing assessment criteria. 

Assessment criteria 

Demonstrated achievement in one or more of the following: 

  • working collectively with the community towards a healthy and liveable Sunshine Coast 
  • encouraging membership, participation and accessibility in sport, recreation, or health and wellbeing activities 
  • good practice in sport, being a positive role model in sport, recreation or health activities 
  • innovative and inclusive programs or coaching of others 
  • promoting diversity in community participation and health and wellbeing benefits 
  • contributing to the outstanding management or administration of sport, recreation or health and wellbeing activities 
  • participating in official sporting, recreational or health and wellbeing duties in a voluntary capacity.
