Event/activities 

Accessible Sunshine Coast Photo Competition

For a chance to win a family pass for Australia Zoo, residents with lived experience of disability are asked to share a photo of themselves and their favourite accessible place within the local government area of the Sunshine Coast.  Provide a short description of the location and what makes this place accessible and/or inclusive (50 words or less). 

Submit your entry between 29 October and 22 November 2025. Only one entry per person will be considered for the competition and this will be the first one uploaded.  Winner will be announced on 3 December, International Day of People with Disability. More T & C's please click here.

The photos submitted for this competition will be used to highlight those places and spaces that are making a difference and contribute to greater participation by people with disability in community, sporting and cultural activities.

FUNctional Market Day celebrates the creativity and capabilities of people with disabilities as part of Disability Action Week: 23 November to 1 December.

Other programs and activities you can join

Healthy Sunshine Coast is a holistic low-cost community program for all fitness levels. The program aims to help you move well, eat well, sleep well, think well and connect well and includes activities for all-abilities.

Aquatic Centres and Pools have ramps and/or hoist access and heated pools across the network. 

Accessible Beaches Program provides beach matting, wheelchairs and life jackets at participating locations.
