Adolph Blanck Park at Picnic Point has been upgraded with new, colourful play equipment and is ready for kids to enjoy these school holidays.

New play features include a larger slide, fireman’s pole, climbing rope and frame.

Division 8 Councillor Jason OPray said the new equipment added life to the park.

“The colourful play area looks fantastic and is very inviting for kids visiting the park,” Cr OPray said.

“Bark softfall has also been added to improve safety.

“It is perfect timing to have the playground open for the school holidays, and I encourage families to get down to the park and try out the new equipment.

“Council thanks local residents for their patience during construction.

“We are committed to providing and maintaining high quality, safe parks and recreation facilities throughout the region.

“This upgrade is just one of many improvements council has made to parks as part of our 2015-2016 $183 million Capital Works Program.”
