If overseas markets are still foreign to your business, don’t delay or you might miss the boat.

Economic Development Portfolio Councillor Stephen Robinson said four places still remained open for the February 10 intake of Sunshine Coast Council’s Export and Global Capability Program.

“This program aims to help guide businesses through their export journey and identify potential international markets for their products and services,” Cr Robinson said.

“Sunshine Coast company RADAQUA recently completed a lucrative aquaculture project in China and this serves as a terrific example of the exciting export opportunities that are well within reach of local entrepreneurs.

“Businesses that participate in this upcoming intake will present their own international sales pitch at the end of the program and they’ll also be provided with opportunities for additional coaching and to connect with local mentoring and investment groups.”

Seventeen local companies "graduated" from the first intake of the export progam with the knowledge and skills to tap into the exporting world.

The Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Strategy aims for 20% of goods and services produced in the region to be exported by 2033 – and Council’s export program helps set up local business to achieve this goal.

For more information about the program or to register, visit Council's website,   call 5475 9932 or email [email protected].

If you are interested in exporting and you are not already ‘connected’ through the Sunshine Coast Export Linkedin Group, you are welcome to join the Group.
