Keen readers to enjoy an evening with acclaimed Australian author Peter Watt at the Beerwah Community Hall from 6pm on Thursday, May 24.
This special literary event is part of a series of Sunshine Coast Libraries author events hosted at various locations across the region.
Peter will talk about his latest book From the Stars above, life as an author, and his personal experience as a volunteer bush firefighter.
From the Stars Above is the 12th and final installment in the epic saga about the Duffy and Macintosh families during the war in the Pacific in 1942.
More than 350,000 copies of Peter’s 15 novels have sold in Australia and New Zealand.
He has been a soldier, private investigator, police sergeant, pipelayer, trawler deckhand and adviser to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
When not writing, Peter spends time volunteering with the Australian Rural Fire Service, which sees him fighting fires around Australia.
Peter’s books will be available for purchase at the venue.
Tickets are $15 per person and bookings are essential via council’s library website
Peter will be joined by special guest, ABC Sunshine Coast journalist Bruce Atkinson.
Enjoy live music by talented local artist Hayden Hack, light refreshments are provided and cash wine bar is supported by the Friends of Beerwah Library.
