Cr McKay - Marvellous Mooloolah update
It certainly was a busy, productive, Mooloolah breakfast meeting this month, with Mark McArdle MP, Member for Caloundra joining local residents as our special guest.
A number of state and local issues were raised which we will work in partnership to resolve.
This included the stop lines at the intersection of Eudlo and Mooloolah Road with Bray; speed signage along Diamond Valley Road; leasing of Mooloolah Community Centre; possibilities of extending the public access to Mooloolah School and community pool; the proposed site for the Youth Skate Bowl; and local laws.
Many thanks to Mark and of course to our local community members for attending the breakfast meeting.
Mooloolah locals, if you are interested in keeping up to date with local projects or raising any issues or queries, remember you are always welcome to come along to the Mooloolah breakfast meetings held on the first Thursday of every month at 7 for a 7.30am start. Contact Mooloolah Community Centre, Darryl from Mooloolah Hardware or my office on 54418043 or email [email protected] for further information.
Pony Show
Heads up the Mooloolah Pony Club will be utilising the Mooloolah Recreation Reserve for overflow car parking during the Open T-Shirt Hack Day being held on 28 November. Good luck to all the riders on the day.
Have your say
Council is reviewing its local laws and the community is invited to get involved.
Our local laws reflect community needs to ensure safety, harmony and good rule. They govern such things as parking, keeping animals, approvals for activities, bathing reserves and dog off-leash areas
Community members wishing to comment on the proposed amendments to the local laws have until 5pm, 30 November to provide feedback. Visit council’s website for further details.
And finally…
A massive congratulations to Mooloolah State School for the absolutely fabulous art show they held recently showcasing the works of a number of wonderful, talented artists in the making. Well done.
