Cr Robinson Upgrading North Arm-Yandina Creek Road
It was a good turnout at the public consultation meeting council held at North Arm State School regarding North Arm-Yandina Creek Road. There was a fair bit of community interest in the bitumen sealing of this road and feedback on the night was extremely positive, with unanimous support of the work to be done. One of the challenges for this project is the need to close the road for six weeks from 8 October until late November, which will minimise delays in construction and reduce the overall construction time.

One of the challenges for this project is the need to close the road for six weeks from 8 October until late November, which will minimise delays in construction and reduce the overall construction time. I appreciate the alternative route will be an inconvenience but your patience while the road is closed would be appreciated.
Fast facts about this project:
- 2km of the road will be bitumen sealed – it will link Valdora Road to the existing bitumen to the west (toward Hidden Valley Road).
- The sealed road will consist of two 3.3m wide road lanes with 650mm sealed shoulders on both sides.
- This project will continue through the 2015-16 financial year, with completion expected in May next year.
Body art brilliance
This year’s Australian Body Art Festival is promising to be one of the most innovative and exciting events for the Sunshine Coast. The three day Eumundi festival will attract some of the world’s best artists and will showcase everything great about Eumundi and its nearby neighbours. I’m really looking forward to celebrating this terrific initiative with everyone.
