Caloundra Community Kindergarten

Our Caloundra Community Kindergarten in Cowan St has been given a much-anticipated facelift. Our towns oldest kindy has been repainted and now has a refreshed look and great street appeal. The external timbers and walls were also resealed to give the building a prolonged life. Divisional Funds were allocated to get the project completed, and it’s a great outcome for our local families.

Our Road Reseal Program in action

It is great to see so many improvements on our roads thanks to council’s Road Reseal Program. Most recently, work has been completed on Sugar Bag Road, Little Mountain and this month we will also start to see improvements on Omrah Avenue, Caloundra and Bott and Beerburrum streets in Dicky Beach. This is part of council’s $23 million commitment to maintaining our local roads and the management of our road network.

Building Better Regions Fund application

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for supporting our Better Building Regions Fund application for The Event Centre, Caloundra. On February 9, we had 1253 survey responses, as well as between 30-50 written letters of support and just over $42,000 in financial support from the community. Our application has been lodged with the State Government, and is awaiting response, but regardless of the outcome, it is great to see the community coming together to support a great project.
