There’s a treat awaiting youngsters in Battalion Park, Buderim.

Sunshine Coast Council has completed work on a new and improved playground. Division 7 Councillor Ted Hungerford said the project included the installation of new equipment, improved drainage, concrete edging and softfall materials.

"This new playground looks fantastic and provides local children with an interesting and safe place to develop their physical skills and interact socially with other youngsters," he said.

"All equipment that is installed in council playgrounds is compliant with Australian Standards to ensure they’re safe and fun for youngsters.

"Along with the new play equipment, a stormwater diverter drain has been installed to prevent erosion of the softfall bark that has been laid in the playground area."
