When you’re out and about these holidays, keep an eye out for the many fantastic public artworks that can be found across the Sunshine Coast.

From street art murals to sculptural works, there are 171 pieces of public artwork in the region.

Residents and visitors can find out more about them and explore them all using council’s App.

Go to your device’s app store and simply download the Sunshine Coast Council App, click on Things to Do and check out the artworks on the map in the Virtual Gallery.

Whether you are wandering the streets and laneways of Caloundra and Nambour or exploring the Hinterland, there is public art to be discovered everywhere.

Make sure your Bluetooth and location services are activated to see the works in your location.

Each public art work is shown with a red drop pin in the map. Click through for more information about the work and the artist.

Whatever form it takes, public art is designed to surprise, delight and challenge.

If you’re looking for short curated trails, jump onto the Public Art Trails page and download one of the trail walking maps.

While you’re exploring, take some photos and share your journey on social media using #artscoast.
