Sunshine Coast Sunbus services are currently affected by road closures and rising flood waters causing dangerous driving conditions.
Due to safety concerns for passengers and drivers Sunbus will cease the majority of our Sunshine Coast operations from 2:00pm today on most Sunshine Coast bus routes.
We will continue to operate the following services to a normal timetable:
- 600 (Caloundra to Maroochydore)
- 620 (Maroochydore to Noosa)
- 610 (Maroochydore to Nambour).
The above core services will operate to a normal timetable until 6pm, but due to road closures may deviate from the normal route and passengers should expect delays. Passengers should be aware that these services may also be cancelled if weather conditions continue to deteriorate.
Passengers are advised NOT to rely on public transport services in light of the current weather conditions.
Passengers on any Qld Rail services coming through from Brisbane will not have bus connections at Landsborough or Noosa and will ONLY be able to connect to buses at Nambour Station.
Full Sunbus services will resume as quickly as possible, but we will be guided by the Bureau of Meteorology and Emergency Services information.
All enquiries about the status of services should be directed to the TransLink website www.translink.com.au which will be kept up to date at all times.
Passengers can also call the TransLink hotline on 13 12 30 however callers to the TransLink Call Centre are advised the Call Centre is receiving a very high volume of calls from customers, resulting in extended delays in answering calls.
