After winning gold at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and already having won back-to-back World Series titles to start the year, the Australians are among the favourites to triumph on the Gold Coast.
There will be two opportunities to meet the Australian Women’s Rugby 7s team during their stay on the Sunshine Coast.
The community can witness the team go head to head in an opposed training session against the Caloundra Men’s Rugby Union Club at Sunshine Coast Stadium from 5.30pm - 7pm on Friday, April 6.
On Tuesday, April 10 young fans can meet and train with the Australian Women's 7s team at a free skills clinic for boys and girls aged 21 and under from 3.30pm - 5pm. There will be free kids’ activities and an opportunity to grab an autograph or a quick photo with the team. Bookings are not required.
