This winter, for the first time in two-and-a-half years, Guy Sebastian will be taking his band on the road with a hit-laden Then & Now regional tour.

One of Australia’s most popular and successful male artists, Guy will bring a blockbuster set to some of his favourite regional venues, including council’s Lake Kawana Community Centre, with doors opening at 6.30pm on Saturday, July 7.

Recent releases from Guy’s current album Conscious, such as Bloodstone & Set In Stone, will be performed alongside songs which have shaped his illustrious career for the past 15 years and made him one of Australia’s most enduring artists, with more than 40 platinum-certified releases and more than three million sales to date.

Fans will also be treated to a sneak peek of his highly anticipated new material set to be released later in the year.

Of this tour, and what’s in store for 2018, Guy said this year has started off so well for him.

“I’ve spent a lot of time writing new material and preparing a new body of work that really excites me, and I can’t wait to share it soon,” he said.

“One of my favourite things to do is perform live and I’m excited to bring my music to fans who live more remotely and get back to some amazing locations across Australia.

“I’m creating a show that will be a unique, one of a kind experience for my loyal fans.”

Guy added the feedback he received from people who respond to his music was so humbling, particularly when he received messages on social media or letters saying that a song has helped someone through a difficult time.

“The power of music is my driving force and being able to affect people in that way is so liberating and something that I really treasure,” he said.

“My fans are all amazing so I love spending time with them, and I really feed off their energy when I’m out there on stage.”

Supporting Guy on his Then & Now tour is Aussie-born, Chicago-based singer Fatai.

Since releasing her debut single Purple in late 2015, and her debut EP Undone shortly after, Fatai has gone on to sell out multiple headline tours in North America, Australia and New Zealand, and she is currently working on her sophomore EP.

Sebastian fans will already be familiar with Fatai as she dueted with him on his song Lightning, from his Madness record, and also featured on Guy’s Eurovision 2015 song, Tonight Again.

With soaring vocals that are powerful yet delicate, hosting great depth and sincerity, Fatai knows how to truly captivate an audience, taking them on a journey through story and melody.

The regional run of shows will see Sebastian and his band travel around northern and southern NSW, across the Victorian border to Frankston, Geelong, Shepparton and Dandenong, over to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, and up to northern Queensland.

Since bursting into the consciousness of the Australian public in 2003 when he was crowned the first winner of Australian Idol, Guy has gone on to become the only Australian male artist in history to achieve six number one singles and two number one albums.

To date, Guy has had 42 platinum-certified releases, sold over 3.7 million singles and albums, and his first #1 solo single, Angels Brought Me Here, still holds the record for the fastest selling single in ARIA chart history.

Tickets for the Sunshine Coast show are on sale Thursday, March 29 at $82 per person plus booking fees and credit card charges.
