ParknGo Lightning Lane car park
This eight-storey car park is now open.
Council regulates vehicle parking on the Coast and operates two PARKnGO multi-deck car parks which include the Lightning Lane carpark. Discover more about parking on the Sunshine Coast.
This public car park, located on Lightning Lane, adjacent to Foundation Place, provides paid parking spaces for cars (including accessible parking and electric vehicle charging spaces), motorcycles and bicycles, as well as end-of-trip facilities.
The design of the building incorporates sustainability principles including rooftop solar panels, end-of-trip facilities for users of active transport, electric vehicle charging stations and connection to Australia’s first, high technology underground automated waste collection system.
Following a competitive tender process, council agreed for Walker Maroochydore Developments Pty Ltd to appoint Hutchinson Builders to design and construct this multi-deck car park in the Maroochydore City Centre.
Construction began in February of 2023. The project was completed December 2023.
