The Sunshine Coast Pest Plant field days program is working to educate Sunshine Coast residents about the impact pest plants have on the Sunshine Coast’s environment, economy and agriculture and control strategies for managing them.

On council managed land and private properties where residents are given the opportunity to show case work they have done. So far Council has held 2 field days in Conondale.
Protection methods
Council has held 2 field days in Conondale with an informative pest plant display. The field days allow officers to engage with the community and show case work that has been done on invasive plant control in the area. Our officers are available to assist residents throughout the day to identify plants, discuss management options, book in hire equipment and answer other questions relating to pest plants on the Sunshine Coast.
