Pioneer Park and Bushland Conservation Reserve
The historical park provides large open grass areas with memorial plaques. Plenty of natural shade, non-flush toilets, picnic tables, car camping, tent camping, and camper van camping. It's a convenient location to stop if you are visiting Kenilworth and surrounds.
The park has history dating back to 1940, as the Main Roads Commission came up with plans to reroute the Eumundi-Kenilworth Road to build a new bridge crossing the Gherulla Creek. To find out more visit Council's Names Origins Directory.
Campfires are allowed here, and it’s only a short walk to your tent. The park is close to the Gheerulla Creek, so you can enjoy on a hot summer day. It is advised to bring with you some essentials such as drinking water, rubbish bags, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
