The Sunshine Coast is home to many great venues that can be used for events
Our region has plenty of beaches, parklands, venues and facilities that can cater all styles of events ranging from mass participation events to business conferences.
The region has multiple venues available for major events including, but not limited to:
- Kings Beach Amphitheatre
- Nambour Showgrounds
- Sunshine Coast Stadium precinct
- The Events Centre Caloundra
- Venue 114

We are also lucky to have facilities for over 80 different sports many of which have accommodated national and international competitions including:
- Sunshine Coast Stadium and Kawana Sports Precinct
- Maroochydore Multisport Complex
- Caloundra Indoor Stadium
- Mooloolaba, Maroochydore & Alexandra Headland beaches
- Multiple national parks and trails

EventsConnect
EventsConnect is virtual one-stop shop for event planners to find Sunshine Coast goods, services and venues for weddings, fundraisers, business events, community events, major sporting events, high-performance sports and more.
Permits
Temporary event permits are required for holding events in public spaces. For major events, you are encouraged to submit your application at least six months before your proposed event date. You should submit your application before advertising your event. The Major Events team are available for support to complete the application form and planning your event. All fees for holding an event are in accordance with council's fees and charges. Fees are listed in the information pack.
