Community Satisfaction Survey
Council undertakes a regular survey to understand the community’s satisfaction with, and use of, Council services.

Who delivered the survey?
An independent research company, Taverner Research Group were engaged by Council to design and deliver the survey.
When was it undertaken?
The survey was undertaken between 5 and 23 August 2024.
Who participated in the survey?
A random selection of 950 residents across the region participated in phone surveys, with an additional 50 residents participating through an online panel. The survey aimed to include different geographic location and demographic spread across the region.
What was asked in the survey?
Residents were invited to provide their views on satisfaction and utilisation of a range of Council services such as:
- parks and recreation facilities
- libraries
- natural environment
- local roads and pathways
- pest management.
What does Council do with the results?
Survey results are used to inform:
- planning and decision making, including development of the Corporate Plan 2025-2030.
- service and asset management planning and budget development processes. The results are also used alongside other data to identify continual improvement opportunities.
