First Lady's story (2022-23)

First Lady was first tagged on 17th November 2015 at Buddina Beach in the 2015-16 nesting season.

She was observed returning six times over the course of the nesting seasons of 2015, 2018 and 2022. This Loggerhead received her name as she was the first turtle that laid the first known nest on all the Sunshine Coast beaches in the 2015 season and the first new tag for 2015. First lady was fitted with a satellite tracker in December of 2022.
