Healthy People Award

Outstanding contribution by an individual or group that has made a significant contribution towards the sporting, recreational, or health and wellbeing achievements of the region.

Nomination criteria 

Outstanding achievement by an individual or group that has made a significant contribution towards the sporting, recreational, or health and wellbeing of the region. Nominations require a maximum of 500 words addressing assessment criteria. 

Assessment criteria 

Demonstrated achievement in one or more of the following: 

  • working collectively with the community towards a healthy and liveable Sunshine Coast 
  • encouraging membership, participation and accessibility in sport, recreation, or health and wellbeing activities 
  • good practice in sport, being a positive role model in sport, recreation or health activities 
  • innovative and inclusive programs or coaching of others 
  • promoting diversity in community participation and health and wellbeing benefits 
  • contributing to the outstanding management or administration of sport, recreation or health and wellbeing activities 
  • participating in official sporting, recreational or health and wellbeing duties in a voluntary capacity.
